A developer believes he has the solution to Auckland’s housing crisis – with the help of floating homes!

Twenty floating homes are planned for Gulf Harbour at Auckland’s Fairway Bay marina. The houses are planned to be around 35sqm – with kitchen, living space, laundry and bedroom loft.

Construction is planned to start in 2016, with the first house expected to be complete by June. The floating base will be a similar structure to marina pontoons.
