Archaeologists have recently discovered five ancient tombs at Saqqara in Egypt. Saqqara is located just outside the Egyptian capital Cairo.

The tombs are more than 4,000 years old! They were discovered near the pyramid of King Merenre I.

Experts say they are in good condition. The burial chambers were decorated with well-preservered hieroglyphics, carved walls. They also contained large stone coffins, wooden coffins, and other artifacts including small statues and pottery.

The burial chambers are believed to be the final resting places of important government officials.
