A fish, that should be grey in colour, has turned a unusual shade of pink after becoming addicted to prawn cocktail flavoured chips.

Gerty, the Giant Gourami fish, was inherited from her previous owner by the Sea Life aquarium in London.

Aquarium workers became worried when Gerty refused to eat the food they fed her, before they found out about the unusual snack her previous owner used to feed her.

Gourami fish traditionally eat a diet of fruit and vegetation. Gerty, does not seem to be affected by the unhealthy diet apart from her odd colour change.

Gerty is now on a strict diet, with no chips allowed!
