Fairy tale locations

If you believe in fairy tales, then you will love these magical places around the world. Some of these amazing places look like something straight out of story book  and I wouldn’t doubt that they were the inspiration for some of the magical locations in the Disney movies we all love! First up is Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany. This amazing castle could be the home to any of the prince and princesses in the Disney movies. The beautiful location and snow make it all the more magical, it just screams Happy Ever After!     Next is The Dark Hedges in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. This slightly scary looking road was decorated with the beech trees in the 18th century and has become a popular tourist attraction. The slightly freaky appearance could make it the perfect haunted forest or the hide out for our Disney villains.   Another magical hideaway is Lake Bled in Slovenia. The lake surrounding this fairytale location adds to the magic. Lake Bled has been a popular tourist attraction for many years.   Finally there is Las Lajas Sanctuary in Pasto, Columbia. This dramatic landscape would look perfect in a battle scene in a movie, where the prince rides to save the damsel in distress from an evil witch or fire breathing dragon. Las Lajas Sanctuary is in fact a basilica church which was built between 1916 and 1949.   No wonder Disney movies are full of amazing and magical castles with such beautiful inspiration around the world!   Article written by D Mulhern
