Facebook buying virtual headset company

Social network giant Facebook has announced it’s buying a virtual reality company.

the company is called  Oculus, and they are paying about $2.5 billion NZD.

Their main product is a headset called the Oculus Rift, where users wearing a special headset enter a virtual gaming world.

Facebook are currently looking at buying a number of companies as they look into the future of electronics and the web.

  1. wow that sounds awesome but also strange… isnt it bad for your eyesight if the screen is too close up to your face though? i mean we dont want toget more people addicted….. do we? NO!!! so i am a yes and a no…

  2. I’m a gamer, and I know that the rift is for gaming.Why on earth would Facebook, a social networking site have a use for this

  3. I myself am a gamer, I would be delighted to buy a Oculus Rift for FPS games like BF4, But why would facebook want to buy it? So gamers can just go on FaceBook on their Oculus?
