Prime Minister Bill English has given his first speech of 2017.
During his speech he outlined the things that his government would do in 2017.
Mr English also attacked the opposition parties for endlessly moaning about New Zealanders, giving a long list of policies it had not supported.
In reply Labour leader Andrew Little said the National-led government had sat on its hands for nearly nine years, ignoring the cries of New Zealanders who could not buy a home.
Green Party co-leader James Shaw criticised the Prime Minister for introducing half-measures to fix housing, poverty and climate change.
