Elon Musk has announced that he has put a computer chip in a pig’s brain.

The news comes as his brain-machine interface company, Neuralink, conducted a live demo of its technology on Friday.

At the show they unveiled a coin-sized device without wires.

The company also bought in three pigs. One of the pigs, named Gertrude, has had the computer implant for about two months.

The company is funded primarily by Musk. Their aim is to develop computer strands smaller than a human hair with the goal of treating brain injuries and trauma.

The design has been tested on at least 19 different animals with around an 87% success rate.
