The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have announced that they are expecting their second child.

A statement from Kensington Palace said that the Queen and members of the royal family are “delighted with the news”.

As with her first pregnancy the Duchess is suffering from morning sickness.

Kensington Palace also said that the news may affect the Duchess’s attendance at up and coming events.

She is scheduled to make her first official solo overseas tour to Malta from 20 September for two days.

Prime Minister John Key said New Zealanders would rejoice at the baby announcement.

It would be funny if they called it something very untraditional like Brookie or something that royals are not bound to call their kids !! PS, I hope they have twin girls, same as you, Tamatea.
