Droughts and fires threatening New Zealand

The dry weather over New Zealand maybe good for beach goers but if weather like this continues New Zealand may have a a drought on its hands.
The weather is particularly hard on farmers who need water to irrigate their land.
Government Minister Nathan Guy is monitoring the conditions in South Canterbury, as well as North Otago, Wairarapa and southern Hawke’s Bay.
The fine spell of weather has also bought fire risks to some parts of the country and the fire service is asking for people to wise when in the outdoors.
