For the second year running dogs will be used as ball boys at a tennis tournament in Brazil.

Dogs will be used and the Brazil Open in Sao Paulo to collect the balls and give to players. They will wear sweatbands on their wrists — ankles? — and scarves around their necks.

The dogs will be specially trained for the job, although they wont have to be ball dogs for the whole tournament.

A total of six dogs will be trained  — named Cindy, Nanda, Pretinha, Mia, Arlete and Ovelha. They all comes from  two Sao Paulo dog shelters and will be available for adoption at the end of the tournament. .

The four ball-dogs that performed at last year’s Brazil Open all found homes.
