Deadly Landslide in Afghanistan

A huge landslide has hit the country of Afghanistan, kill at least 350 people.

The landslide was triggered by heavy rain with the resulting landslide burying an entire village of people.

Around 2,000 are still missing.

The mountainous area in Badakhshan province has experienced days of heavy rain and flooding.

Landslides and avalanches are frequent in Afghanistan, but this is one of the deadliest in recent years.

Villagers who are without homes are waiting for emergency food supplies and are having to sleep in temporary tents after houses and buildings were hit by falling mud and rocks.
