The people of Crimea, in southern Ukraine, have voted to rejoin Russia and move away from the Ukraine.

Most of the people living in Crimea believe they’re Russian and this vote was not unexpected.

Russian president Vladimir Putin says that the poll was in line with international law.

But the vote has been called “illegal” by the government in Kiev and by countries like the United States.

World leaders want Russia to stop its action in Crimea and it is likely that Europe will impose sanctions on Russia.
