A US millionaire is on the lookout for a couple to travel to Mars in 2018.
Dennis Tito, has announced this ambitious trip which will take 501 days to fly around Mars and return to Earth. The couple wont land on the red planet.
Tito, became the first private space tourist in 2001 when he paid £13 million for a ticket to the International Space Station, said his mission aims to spur a new era of space exploration.
The project’s management say they would really like a couple who have been married for a while so that they can get along for the journey.
The mission, expected to cost around $2 billion NZD, and it would be privately funded by donations and sponsorships.
