Countdown supermarkets to be investigated

Countdown supermarket chain is going to be investigated by the Commerce Commission.
The supermarket is owned by Woolworths, an Australian company, and they have been accused of not treating their suppliers  fairly.
The Commerce Commission will looking into how the company has paid and set up contracts with its suppliers. The investigation is expected to take months.
The investigation was sparked by Labour MP Shane Jones who spoke up on behalf of New Zealand food suppliers.
