The snow and ice festival is under way in Harbin, China – a celebration of the cold that the city hosts every year.

Approximately 7000 sculptor work to build a city completely out of ice and snow, complete with buildings, slides and sculptures.

Colourful lights at night time make the city look even more beautiful and gathers many tourists. The frozen city even features a replica of the Great Wall of China and hosts world-record sized sculptures.

This is the festival’s 31st year and one of the main attractions is the ice slide! The festival is expected to continue until the 28th of February – however this depends on when it begins to melt!

Check out the pictures below, can you believe that this is made entirely of ice and snow?!
