China has brought in new rules to limit children’s internet usage – specifically the amount of time playing online video games.
From now children under 18 are only allowed to play games for one hour on Fridays, weekends and holidays. Furthermore, children dont get a choice about when to play the games. It must be between the hours of 8pm to 9pm.
These restrictions apply to all devices including phones.
In 2019, children were restricted to playing games for up to three hours during holiday periods and1.5 hours on other days.
The change is thought to be a reaction to growing concern about gaming addiction among young people.
A government spokesperson was quoted as saying, “teenagers are the future” and that “protecting the physical and mental health” of children is a vital interest.

I disagree. I disagree because even though it is bad for your eyes what if it is for learning purposes, and it when for an hour. then after you wanted a sit down for an hour and you cant.so I disagree
I think this is unfair for say 17 year olds who are starting up on youtube or twitch and are making a career and all of a sudden they cant play basically at all especially when we are in a covid world
