The Eiffel Tower in Paris is to have a 2.5 metre-high wall of reinforced glass built around it.

Officials say that the fence will act as protection against terror attacks.

Security gates were put up at the Eiffel Tower last year. However, the 2.5 meter-high bullet-proof glass will be put up in 2017 to replace the fence.

The Paris mayor’s office said the wall will replace metal fences put up for the Euro 2016 football tournament.

The project, is expected to cost about $40m (NZD) and work should start later this year.

The Eiffel Tower, one of France’s most famous landmarks, attracts more than six million visitors each year.

The wall is designed to stop individuals or vehicles storming the site.

This really is showing the fear and protection people are putting up against ISIS or any terrorist organisation but now with donald trump it is a completely different story. America really falling apart but they should not they should be banding together and sorting it not putting up defences measures on things Like these. For example what we should do is focus on attacking and gathering more and more information about them to TAKE THEM DOWN.
