Builders in the UK have started wearing skirts on building sites.

Currently, it is illegal for people on a building site to wear shorts. Builders have been wearing skirts to protest.

The first group to do this was a group of brickies from Chertsey, Surrey, who found out skirts are allowed thanks to the gender equality regulations in the UK.

The group of workers say they were inspired by a group of school boys who recently did the same thing when they were told they couldn’t wear shorts.

One of the builders told the Daily Mail he loved the new outfit and that it gave him far more freedom.

Summer has really kicked in in the UK with temperatures reaching highs of 26 degrees.
