A number of scenes from the latest James Bond movie, Skyfall, have been cut from the Chinese version of the film.

China‘s board of film censorship believe that a number of scenes show their country, its government, in a poor way.

When the film is shown in China a section that showed a Chinese security guard being overpowered, as well as references to the Chinese government being involved in torture will be missing.

Countries often do this with movies and this process is known as censorship.

The movie business in China is the second biggest market in the world, so film-makers can lose a lot of money if they don’t agree to the censorship.

Skyfall has been the most successful Bond film of all time and  UK’s most successful film eve. It has made over £100 million at cinemas already.
