Erik Weihenmayer has become the first blind man to kayak through the Grand Canyon.

Weihenmayer and Navy veteran Lonnie Bedwell, also blind, pushed themselves through the chaos of the river’s rapids.

The two were helped by teammates that guided the men by giving directions through a bluetooth earpiece.

Weihenmayer is no stranger to amazing feats. He has climbed Mount Everest, the highest summit in the world. In fact, he’s climbed the seven highest mountains in the world, known as the seven summits. He did it all, even though he’s blind.

Weihenmayer did it to inspire as many people as possible to face challenges fearlessly. He wants people to surprise themselves with what they’re able to accomplish.
