The Black Caps have beaten England in the second cricket test to claim a 1-0 series win.

The result is New Zealand’s second series victory against England in England and the first since 1999. It also sees New Zealand move back to the top of the ICC Test Team Rankings.

New Zealand dominated the game, beating England by eight wickets.

England were bowled out for 122 in their second innings which meant that the Black Caps only needed 38 runs for victory. New Zealand got the runs with only 2 wickets down.

Stand in captain Tom Latham, praised the squad’s depth after they came into the contest having made six changes from the drawn first test at Lord’s.

New Zealand will enjoy an extra day’s rest before they take on India in the ICC World Test Championship Final starting in Southampton on Friday.
