The Black Caps have won the second One Day Cricket International held at Eden Park.

The result means New Zealand have an unbeatable 2-nil lead in the three match one day series against India.

New Zealand secured a 22 run win over India in game two in Auckland.

New Zealand, batting first, scored 273-8 with Ross Taylor following up his century in the first match in Hamilton with 73 not out. Taylor combined with Jamieson (25 not out) to score 76 runs for the ninth wicket partnership to give their team a respectable target.

During India’s turn at bat fast bowler Southee was the star with the ball. Southee took 2-41 before he left the field, while Jamieson secured 2-42 in his 10 overs. India were dismissed for 251 in 48.3 overs.

It was close towards the end. Ravindra Jadeja (55) produced a superb fightback after he came to the crease with his side in trouble at 96-5. He almost won the game in a partnership with fast bowler Navdeep Saini (45).

The third game is in Mt. Maunganui on Tuesday.
