Black Caps beat India at T20 World Cup

The Black Caps have beaten India by eight wickets in their second game at the T20 World Cup.

New Zealand won the toss and sent India in to bat. Bowling a tight line and not dropping a catch, NEw Zealand kept India to 110-7 in their 20 overs.

Trent Boult and Ish Sodhi were the pick of the bowlers. Boult getting 3-20 and Ish Sodhi securing Man of the Match figures of 2-17 on his birthday.

In reply, the Black Caps reached the winning total with 33 balls to spare. Daryl Mitchell was the star, scoring a fluent 49 and skipper Kane Williamson remained not out on 33.

The result keeps New Zealand’s hope of a semi-final place alive with their next game against Scotland on Wednesday.
