Australia will host the 2020 Rugby Championship.

Last week SANZAAR (the group the runs the Rugby Championship) announced that Australia’s bid had beaten New Zealand.

They will host the 6 week tournament from November 7.

Australia won the race due to having superior quarantine regulations in regards to allowing teams to train while in isolation.

With both South Africa and Argentina yet to restart rugby, the ability to train as a squad from the day of arrival was a key selling point for Australia.

However, All Black fans will not be left without any rugby. New Zealand will host two Bledisloe Cup matches in October. At this stage, it looks as if these games will be on the 17th and 24th, and most likely to be in Auckland and Wellington.
