Ardern gives Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy lockdown exemption

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has given the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy exemption from the national lockdown.

This means that Easter Bunny is considered an essential working.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern made the announcement on Monday afternoon at her daily press conference.

She said, “You’ll be pleased to know that we do consider both the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny to be essential workers.”

However, she also told kids that the lockdown restrictions and busy time of year might make it difficult for him to visit everyone around the country.

“I say to the children of New Zealand, if the Easter Bunny doesn’t make it to your household, then we have to understand that it’s a bit difficult at the moment.”
