Apple has lost its position as the world’s most valuable company.

The fall in value comes after a number of investors have been selling Apple shares.

Saudi Arabian oil and gas producer Aramco is back at the top of the world’s most valuable companies. Aramco reclaims the top spot from the iPhone maker for the first time in almost two years.

On Wednesday, shares in Apple fell by more than 5%in New York to end the trading day with a stock market valuation of NZ$3.6 trillion.

That meant it lost its position to Aramco, valued at NZ$3.8 trillion.
