America's Cup to travel through regions

The America’s Cup is coming to a venue near you.
Team New Zealand have announced that sailing’s biggest prize is about to travel the length of New Zealand.This time, instead of the main centres, the Auld Mug will travel through the smaller regions. there will be a total of 19 stops along the way.
The tour will start at Taipa in the far north on Friday, work its way to the Bluff in the deep south, and finish in New Plymouth on October 18.
Grant Dalton says the tour is a way of repaying fans for their support during the 7-1 win over Team USA in Bermuda.
The syndicate also wants to attract a new generation of youngsters to the sport and to raise funds for local clubs.

Oct 6 – Taipa Sailing Club
Oct 7 – Kerikeri Cruising Club, Whangarei Cruising Club
Oct 8 – Thames Sailing Club, Mercury Bay Yacht Club
Oct 9 – Edgecumbe, Rotorua Yacht Club
Oct 10 – Taupo Sailing Club
Oc 11 – Napier Sailing Club
Oct 12 – Queen Charlotte Yacht Club
Oct 13 – Lake Brunner Yacht Club
Oct 14 – Kaikoura Boating Club, Pleasant Point Yacht Club
Oct 15 – Timaru Yacht and Powerboat Club, Oamaru Yacht and Powerboat Club
Oct 16 – Wanaka Yacht and Powerboat Club, Wakatipu Yacht Club
Oct 17 – Bluff Yacht Club
Oct 18 – New Plymouth Yacht Club.
