Alcaraz and Swiatek win US Open

World number one Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz have won the US open for 2023.

Iga Swiatek has crusied to victory in the final winning in straight sets over Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur 6-2 7-6(5) in the U.S. Open.

This is her first win at the Flushing Meadows and third ever Grand Slam.

Alcaraz has beaten Norway’s Casper Ruud in the U.S. Open final 6-4 2-6 7-6 6-3 to win his maiden Grand Slam title and rise to world number one.

Alcaraz is the youngest-ever world number one on the ATP world rankings becoming the first teenager to hold the perch.
