Aircrafts and airlines are finding it hard to find parking spots for their planes.

With coronavirus causing air travel to stop, airlines around the world have been forced to ground most of their aircraft and in some cases their entire fleet.

American Airlines has had to park 450 of its aircraft, Delta airlines have grounded 600 and Lufthansa Airlines around 700 aircraft.

Many airports, especially larger ones, don’t have enough space for all planes.

It’s not known at this stage where Air New Zealand will park some of its grounded fleet. However, it has the options of a handful of air force bases around the country.

It is also expected that airports around New Zealand will be willing to help Air New Zealand during this time.
