The government has sold 20% of their shares in Air New Zealand, raising $365 million for the Government.

Earlier this week around 221 million shares were sold at $1.65 each.

One of the Government’s aims was to keep 85% of the airline in New Zealand ownership with the government still owning 53% of the business.
This sale brings the total amount the government has raised from selling part ownership of assets to almost $4 billion.
