Voting for the 2017 New Zealand General election has been going for a week
So far nearly twice the number of people have voted early so far this election compared to 2014, with 300,000 people having already cast their ballot.
Early voting opened on Monday.
The Electoral Commission’s figures show that yesterday nearly 80,000 votes were cast, 74,097 were placed the day before and 66,522 the day before that.
At the same time in 2014 just under 180,000 people had voted.
Early votes are not made public until all votes are in.
