Adams moves to Pelicans

New Zealand basketballer Steven Adams’ is moving to the New Orlean Pelicans.

At this stage the finances are unknown but the two year extension is reported to be worth $50 million. He also picks up a $3 million trade bonus.

The deals runs through the 2022-23 season and is fully guaranteed.

Admas is a 2.11m centre who has played his entire seven-year NBA career at Oklahoma City Thunder. During that time he played 530 career regular-season games with an average of 9.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists a game.

The Pelicans have made the play-offs just once in the last five years.
