A smart toilet that might help your doctor in the future hs been developed by scientists in the US.
The new toilet is capable of detecting early warning signs of cancer and other serious diseases.
Researchers at Stanford University built the toilet that has a special camera, scientific test strips and artificial intelligence. It works by analysing your ‘business’ as they pass through the toilet.
It is hoped that the toilet will be able to monitor for up to 10 different health conditions and diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers.
The disease-detecting technology then helps doctors by providing important information.
The special toilet involves taking an ordinary toilet and fitting the new technology. The researchers who developed it hope it will one day be part of the average home bathroom.
The scientist stressed that this new toilet should not be seen as a replacement for a doctor.
