The Black Caps have beaten England by an innings and 65 runs in the first test at the Bay Oval.

New Zealand dominated the game from the start but were made to work hard on the final day.

Pace bowler Neil Wagner took a superb 5-44 and Mitchell Santner 3-53 in the final inning as the Black Caps secured a 1-0 series lead.

Earlier in the game, the Black Caps had dominated the 1st innings with BJ Watling scoring 205 and Mitchell Santner 126. This ensured New Zealand scored 615, setting up the win.

It is only the 11th time New Zealand has beaten England in the more than 100 times we have played them

The next game is in Hamilton starting on Friday.

Tesla has just unveiled their brand new Cybertruck.

The special car is powered by electricity, which means it doesn’t contribute to climate change as much as other vehicles.

Tesla is owned by South African Billionaire Elon Musk.

Back on Earth, Musk’s Cybertruck is now available to buy – but it will set you back about $65,000 NZD.

The car has shatterproof windows. However, during the unveiling when they showed how this was supposed to work the glass shattered.

Two British men have been sent to prison after finding treasure worth around $6million NZD.

The pair were sent to prison for nearly 20 years because they failed to notify authorities about their find.

Some of the coins and jewellery found in farmland in central England were more than 1100 years old.

George Powell, 38, and Layton Davies, 51, made the find while using metal detectors on a farm in Leominster, central England.

British law requires that such discoveries must be declared to the landowner and reported to the local authorities.

But the men kept the find to themselves and began to sell the coins to the market.

Powell was jailed for 10 years and Davies for 8 and a half years.

The Waihi Mine has been granted permission to become bigger.

The company will be able to purchase new land.

Minister of Finance Grant Robertson and Associate Minister of Finance David Parker oversaw the decision.

The decision will help New Zealand because around 340 full-time jobs will be kept and there will be exports valued at $2 billion over the next nine years.
