A truck carrying 20 tonnes (more than 18000 kgs) of cheese has crashed in Australia, cutting off a major road.

Emergency services were called and worked through the night to remove the cheese and overturned truck from the Princes Highway in New South Wales.

The truck overturned and skidded to a halt with the back half blocking two lanes and stopping traffic.

The driver was taken to hospital and the cheese company ‘Bega’ spent the night scraping cheese from the road.
